Wire Cutting Specialists!
Don’t let your daily works disturb your sleep,
79 PLUS Blocks will come to help.
Time’s changing, concurrently Sağlam Metal changes ready-hardened block materials which wire cutting specialists and sheet cutting moulders use often. Sağlam Metal doesn’t produce any erosion blocks of 1.2379 which is very brittle and makes visible every little mistake of wire erosion until inquiried.
Erosion blocks of 1.2379 which are produced 7 years ago by Sağlam Metal are now made from below mention modern steels:

79 Plus, PM steels’ advantages:
- Higher toughness than 1.2379
- Higher dimensional stability than 1.2379
- Perfect machining ability
- Highly pure structure
Important points on wire erosion process;
- Cutting should be done in steps
- White layer over the surfaces of cut materials should be removed by grinding or sand blasting.
- Stress releiving is a must on the materials

Processing of Wire Erosion Blocks
Before drilling the beginning hole, blocks are firstly rough machined than fine machined. PM steels do not have roll marks, thus they can be used in every directions. But in WP7 V and CPOH steels, direction is important.
Heat treatment and tempering for at least three times are performed in elevated temperatures. This property provides resistance to high temperatures during wire erosion and good PVD capability.
