The Copper-Cobalt-Beryllium-Zirconium (CuCoBeZr) alloy stands out with its superior wear resistance at high temperatures.
What are the Mechanical Properties of Cupro CBZ® (CuCoBeZr)?
You can review the material properties under the “Technical Details” section. In tests conducted on Cupro CBZ® (CuCoBeZr), the volume loss was found to be approximately 34% lower at both room temperature and 400 °C (750 °F) compared to the alloy without zirconium (Zr).
This special alloy features a balanced structure that provides both strength and ductility. While most high-strength copper alloys tend to lose strength and ductility at elevated temperatures, the CuCoBeZr alloy is capable of maintaining its mechanical properties up to 430 °C (800 °F).
Where is Cupro CBZ® (CuCoBeZr) Used?
Cupro CBZ® (CuCoBeZr) is used as an electrode in spot and butt welding of stainless steel, as a wheel in seam welding, in plastic blow mold components and molds, plastic injection mold parts, cooling cores, spray nozzles, and as press-fitted inserts in steel molds where rapid cooling is required.
Cupro CBZ® (CuCoBeZr) is also used in seam welding caps, pistons, and in chill molds and cooling components for the casting of non-ferrous alloys such as copper, brass, and bronze.
What is Price of the Cupro CBZ® (CuCoBeZr) Material?
The price of Cupro CBZ® (CuCoBeZr) material varies depending on the product cross-section, dimensions, and surface quality. You can access Cupro CBZ® (CuCoBeZr) pricing via the “Go to Online Sales” button on the homepage of www.saglammetal.com
