Manufactured by Dörrenberg Edelstahl.
1.2080 material is a ledeburitic steel containing 12% chromium. 1.2080 (X210Cr12) is a cold work tool steel that is resistant to corrosive and adhesive wear due to its dense presence of hard carbides. However, due to its low tensile strength and low toughness, it has been replaced by other steels in various applications. For example, if wear resistance is a priority, CPW (1.2436) and CPR can be preferred, while CPU (1.2379) and WP7V steels can be chosen for cases where toughness is also necessary.
