AISI C45 steel is a carbon steel that contains trace amounts of elements such as manganese, silicon, sulfur, and phosphorus inherent to steel production methods.
Manufactured by Dörrenberg Edelstahl.
AISI C45 steel is a carbon steel that contains trace amounts of elements such as manganese, silicon, sulfur, and phosphorus inherent to steel production methods. C45 material is a medium tensile steel supplied in a hot rolled or annealed condition. AISI C45 steel exhibits good machinability, weldability, and high impact strength, and it is suitable for surface hardening.
AISI C45 carbon steel is preferred in various fields such as axles, bolts, forged connecting rods, crankshafts, torsion bars, light gears, guide rods, screws, forged parts, wheel tires, shafts, axes, knives, woodworking drills, and hammers. It is used in general engineering applications.
