1.4057 (X17CrNi16-2) steel is a martensitic stainless steel. The 1.4057 (X17CrNi16-2) material is a highly alloyed steel that is resistant to corrosion and wear, and it is commonly used in structural applications. The 1.4057 (X17CrNi16-2) material provides good corrosion resistance and high-temperature resistance, along with ease of machinability. Additionally, due to its weldability and hardenability features, it is widely used in various industries.
It is also a preferred type of steel for paper processing tools, piston rods, pump and valve components that require stainless properties.
For applications requiring higher corrosion resistance and heat resistance, 1.4122 (X39CrMo17-1) may be preferred.
