Using Hard Copper Alloys in Plastic Moulds

In molds where heat exchange is intense, such as plastic injection molds and bloating molds, various copper alloys, in which an appropriate combination of both hardness and thermal conductivity are provided, replaces tool steels.

In this kind of molds, copper alloys are preferred because of their high thermal conductivity.

This brings with it many advantages:

1. The cycle time becomes shorter.

2. The operating time of the mold increases.

3. The mold is processed faster because of the cooling slots will decrease or not be needed.

4. Since the our products Cupro CB and Cupro B2 beryllium copper alloys will be processed many times faster than 1.2738, the processing cost is reduced.
