The material 1.2360 (X48CrMoV8-1-1) is used in the manufacturing of industrial knives and as cold work tool steel in mould making due to its wear resistance and toughness.
Manufactured by Dörrenberg Edelstahl.
1.2360 (X48CrMoV8-1-1) steel is a type of austenitic cold work tool steel. The 1.2360 (X48CrMoV8-1-1) material is used in the manufacturing of industrial knives and as cold work tool steel in mould making due to its wear resistance and toughness. In applications requiring higher heat resistance, WP7V steel can be preferred over 1.2360 (X48CrMoV8-1-1).
The hardness value of 1.2360 (X48CrMoV8-1-1) cold work tool steel ranges from 52 to 60 HRC.
1.2360 (X48CrMoV8-1-1) steel is used particularly in the wood industry for wood chipping and cutting knives, as well as in plastic crushing blades, scrap shear blades in the iron and steel industry, and scissors blades used in hot and cold applications.
