CP8E special tool steel is a cold work tool steel offered by our partner Dörrenberg Edelshtal, which is patented and has a high vanadium content. It provides good secondary hardenability and excellent toughness. CP8E material is also dimensionally stable. The steel possesses hardening properties down to the core and has excellent impact resistance.
CP8E special tool steel is used where high toughness requirements are necessary such as in cutting blades, cutting tools, straightening rollers, printing rollers, and profile forming rollers.
