Manufactured by Dörrenberg Edelstahl.
1.2714 QT (55NiCrMoV7) material is a medium to large scale hot work tool steel that is nickel-alloyed and possesses excellent toughness. It can be hardened all the way to its core and can be delivered in both hardened and tempered conditions. When parts in mold size are produced using the single-step three-axis forging process, the anisotropy of mechanical properties decreases, approaching isotropic behavior, resulting in improved performance during use.
1.2714 QT (55NiCrMoV7) tool steel is used in the production of stainless steel goods, multipart press molds, punch dies for extrusion presses, support holders for seal carriers, casings, and protective jackets.
In applications requiring higher hardness, 1.2714 soft-tempered material can be used after hardening.
