PMD 10 steel is a powder metallurgy steel with a high vanadium content and a very fine carbide distribution. PMD 10 material is successfully used in cutting and bending molds where it outperforms cold work tool steels containing 12% chromium due to its higher toughness. The presence of a high amount of vanadium results in a significant number of carbides, ensuring excellent wear resistance.
